Buzz - More Social Bookmarking, With Uh, More
Hot off the press this week, Yahoo's new social bookmarking site BUZZ is now out of the private beta phase, and open for users to contribute 'Buzzes'. Having trouble keeping track of all these bookmarking sites? Me too. But as WebWare points out, there may be a bit more to this site. Rafe Needleman explained: "Publishers (like Webware publisher CNET) cannot afford to ignore Buzz, since popular stories on the service can get placement on the Yahoo page, and that could drive large amounts of traffic back. It's a big carrot. Competition for Buzz votes is going to be strong." I haven't had a chance to test it out yet, because while Yahoo users were busy BUZZing yesterday, I was at Radiohead in Vancouver.
