Defining your brand through imagery

Being a visual medium, a good website obviously needs some strong imagery to be appealing. But if your core business is experience-based, it's absolutely imperative. Then factor in an off-the-beaten-track location, and your image gallery becomes the essential tool to selling your product.
Two recent VentureWeb projects were for companies that offer unique adventures to the discerning traveller. Both clients had done their homework in terms of writing engaging, experiential content—also a big contributor to a website's success—but it was the quality of their photography collections that enabled us to truly understand their products and reveal them through the sites' designs.
Too often we're challenged to design a site without quality image assets. These examples just go to show that investing in photography will, as they say, 'tell a thousand words.'
