Whistler Alpine Guides website Launched!

Another customized drupal beauty was launched for the world wide web to enjoy earlier this week, Whistler Alpine Guides Bureau's new website is now live.

mthree.ca is Live and Kicking

Our Web Developer Olly Walker has outdone himself again, with a slick custom-themed drupal website that we just launched today for mthree - Mike McLellan Marketing. Check out the web development portfolio for more info.

The Roof Is On Fire

As if things weren't hot enough around VentureWeb's Squamish headquarters lately, the action kicked up a notch when a live fire show went off right across the street. Yep, a small workshed on the property adjacent to us was up in flames for an hour last week, quite the show. We hope there wasn't too much damage nor injury, as we did enjoy the show. Here's a few photos of the action.

Squamish Oceanfront Site Launch

Just last week we rang the gong on a new site launch - www.squamishoceanfront.com.

It is great to see this interactive and current website live for the community to enjoy. The new format is focused on two-way communication, with reader polls and reader comments to allow site vistiors to share their thoughts with fellow community members and SODC board members.

More about this project in the porfolio.

Sir Edmund Hillary 1919-2008

Legend

The passing of Sir Edmund Hillary, one of the very few real heroes left in the world has left me feeling sad but also inspired. A fantastic life lived to the fullest.

VentureWeb Goes Cat Skiing

All smiles at VentureWeb Headquarters in Squamish, and not because have a cooler for of bananas, apples and nuts left over from the weekend.

We headed up to visit our clients at Backcountry Snowcats north of Pemberton this past weekend for some DEEP powder shredding and product testing, because you know, someone has to do it.

And as predicted, snow is directly related to online marketing. Take Backcountry Snowcats for example. It dumps a few feet, and we go up to enjoy it. Now only 4 days later, www.snowcats.ca will be reaping the rewards of their first e-newsletter blast heading out the door tomorrow, heaps of new website content including their season intro, snowfall update, Vancouver Special, updated photo galleries, and a new video (starring us).

Add that to the killer grass roots contest that just launched today, and their site isn't going to know what hit'em. Did someone say contest. Heck ya. Come up with the name for their new 3000 ft descent, and WIN a Cat Skiing weekend.

Otherwise, go check it out anyways, as the photos and videos will hint at... it didn't exactly suck.

Snow Snow Snow

After the 'Why Snowfall Is Good For Online Marketing' post last week, it's only fair that i show just how good 'good' is going to be. There was 15cm of new snow on our local resort last night, and here's the Whistler Alpine Forecast for all to enjoy...

Why Snowfall Is Good For Online Marketing

It seems to be snowing hard again in Squamish outside of VentureWeb headquarters as I type this. It's been a snowy couple weeks and looks like there's more snow on it's way for next week. Good news for all the shredders out there.

But what does it have to do with online marketing you ask? EVERYTHING.

VentureWeb Christmas Party 2.0

Ah yes, that time of year again, Christmas parties left, right, and center, including none other than VentureWeb's 2nd generation Christmas party, or at least, 2nd party. Naked Lunch put on an awesome spread of appies and desserts, which we ended up eating for days to come. Mmmmmmm.

VentureWeb in the NEWS

Yep that's right. VentureWeb has been infiltrating the media lately. Keep an eye on your local papers, as we seem to be in there for all sorts of different reasons. Our recent launch of Tourism Squamish's website is causing a buzz, and hey, my own mugshot ended up in the Who's Who of the Sea to Sky News. Classic.
