As if it isn't hard enough already to stay on top of Google's ongoing search engine changes. Does anyone else wonder why there's so many new, incredibly random search engines being introduced? it's great to see the innovation, and most of them have a few really helpful and usable features, but until one of them starts to reign supreme, we're almost going to need an intermediate 'search engine for search engines'. Anyway, the engine I've been tinkering with this week is Scour...

Scour - The Social Search Engine

Engaging users to promote, demote, and comment on search results from Yahoo, Google, & MSN. Scour explains their purpose... "Scour's purpose is to bridge the gap between searchers and relevant results. By providing a platform for the user to vote and comment on relevancy, searchers connect with one another creating a true social search community, attained through innovative solutions to meet the needs of today's web searchers." And they even pay you to participate! Well, uh, that's what thy claim, but you need to get 65,000 points in order to earn a $25 gift card! So if you did 1 search a day, in 17 years you'd make $25. Yeehooo. If you spent enough time on Scour to ever realize any $$ from your efforts, you will have inevitably lost your job, girlfriend, social life, and libido in the meantime. But as they say, it's more than you're currently getting paid to search isn't it!
