A Search Engine Doing SEO? Huh? Will Yahoo?
Came across an interesting post on WebProNews about Yahoo's potential venture into Search Engine Optimization tips. Obviously search engines usually shy away from SEO, as it has a bit of a reputation of 'tricking' search engines into ranking sites higher than they naturally deserve. Yahoo on the other hand has applied for an SEO related patent, that gets you wondering just what they might be up to. Maybe it's a sign of changing times. Old-school black hat SEO and link pyramid schemes are a dying breed anyways, perhaps Yahoo will simply show developers that a good, modern site with good, fresh content and effective use for multi media may be all you need!
