VentureWeb's Sponsored Twoonie Race a Success
Our first VentureWeb sponsored SORCA Twoonie Race was a big success last week, August 19th.
Initially team VentureWeb really weren't sure what sponsoring a SORCA Twoonie Race actually entailed but were relieved to find out that there is a great deal of beer involved. Normally a keg. So we thought that we could handle that well enough. Other requirements, were food and the design and marking of an actual race course.
As far as food went, we could look no further than Darin Joseph from www.MyFavouriteFoods.ca (coming soon) and he didn't disappoint.
So with a big summer of biking under the belt already we thought it appropriate that we come up with one of the harder grinds of the summer. We caught wind of a few groans and some ambient whinging pre race but by the end of the race most riders were very complimentary on the course selection.
The weather was hot and dry and 90 odd riders came out for the race. Lots of great food, cool beers and a good race was enjoyed by all. Thanks SORCA we will be back next year for sure. Should any of you out there want to ride the course, give us a call to discuss or follow the course description following this:
