Backcountry Snowcats

Our goal for the redesign was to integrate not just great visual design but a showcase of outstanding videos and photography. We were lucky to have Grand Baldwin create not just one but two fantastic videos over the past two winters. As far as photography goes, Backcountry Snowcats has been visited by some of the very best photographers in the ski biz period. Jordan Manley, Paul Morrison, Tyler Garnham, Delaney Zayac and Jordan Junck.

Social Media meet Marketing

The site is fully supported by an extensive social media campaign that covers the more main stream social media platforms. Our social media strategy has been to focus on quality postings of relevance. Over the past two seasons we have run three social media based web site promotions with great success. Keep an eye out for this years promotion to be even bigger and better.

New User Tools

The new Snowcats web site is built on Drupal and features some cool user tools. A new Snow-forecast hookup and advanced weather module allows users to monitor and gauge just how deep it is going to be. We have also worked on making the range of fantastic videos and photography more accessible to web site visitors. The enhanced sign up form now allows for secure credit card data to be transmitted via email to ensure riders have their spot firmed up for the winter and avoid disappointment. Another new feature is our Wall of Fame, showcasing all the great people who have visited and helped put Snowcats on the map.

Central to our mission for the site has always been to dominate the search engine rankings for a number of keyword terms and phrases. The revised site has exceeded expectations for searches on Cat Skiing BC and Cat Skiing Whistler.
