Introducing a new option to the moving box scene in 2008, Frogbox quickly jumped into the spotlight in Vancouver, Seattle and Toronto with their eco-friendly, reusable plastic Frogbox moving totes, providing an alternative to using traditional cardboard boxes.
In preparation of franchising their operation throughout North America, the folks at Frogbox knew they had to hop to it and ensure they were capable of managing their growing empire online. That’s where VentureWeb came in, tasked with building a brand new website that would drive customer bookings through a seamless, custom integration with Vonigo, their online booking engine, and help Frogbox make the leap.
The go-live date also coincided with Frogbox founder Doug Burgoyne's national TV appearance a week later on CBC's Dragons' Den program where he pitched a share in his expansion plans. Anticipating a huge surge in traffic while the program aired, VentureWeb worked with the hosting company ahead of time to ensure www.frogbox.com stayed online.
In short, the Frog slayed the Dragons on CBC, and VentureWeb's solution has delivered. In only the first month since launch, the website has measured growth of 384% in site visits, and online conversions are up 50%. Most notable, though, is a significant decrease of 30% in the bounce rate—currently at 40%—while tracking the major spike in traffic. Simply put, the quality of visits is up with the growth, making a strong statement about Frogbox's online presence and expansion plans.
