A long-time favourite among families and groups, the Tantalus Resort Lodge is an authentic year-round family ski lodge located in the heart of Whistler. After a major renovation to the Lodge itself prior to the 2010 Games, it became evident that the time had come to refresh the brand online as well.
In addition to replacing a dated website that was difficult to navigate and challenging for staff to keep updated, we were tasked with driving measurable traffic and increasing conversions through their booking engine. To support this, and capitalize on the year-round experiences associated with the Whistler resort brand, the new www.tantalusresort.com now showcases Whistler activities and group opportunities through engaging photography and calls-to-action and offers visitors a wealth of information they can use to plan their trip. The result? 3 months since relaunching the brand online, TRL is garnering 75% of its visits from search engines and boasts an extremely strong bounce rate of 26%.
Future plans include social media integration that will enhance the Guest Services component of the site and pull in up-to-the-minute Whistler news and events.
