Whistler Bike Guide

The folks from Whistler Bike Guide completed the creation of their printed trail guide at the end of April. The Web Site was the next item on their list. After reviewing the requirements and providing the necessary feedback the team were left with only one month to get the first phase of the web site live. Gulp!

After a review of the market and other sites out there we wanted to provide some functions that no other site currently delivers; up to date trail descriptions, a member’s section, user generated contents such as trail ratings and allow in our site users to post comments.

The site is monetized with a controlled banner ad management system and a comprehensive travel booking tool that allows users to book their total Whistler Mountain Biking vacation all in one.

This site was created in an entirely search engine friendly manner. Whistler Bike Guide has a number of optimization features that will allow it to dominate the competitive set over time. The site is already performing well in the search engines despite its recent appearance on the scene.

The site’s design was undertaken by a third party and provided to VentureWeb. Ideally we want to rework this over time and integrate more design components and more user features such as Video and Photo sharing.
